Environmental Commitments
Grady Joinery is committed to promoting sustainable manufacturing practices. We use responsibly sourced materials, recycle waste, and invest in energy-efficient technologies to reduce our carbon footprint. We also prioritize educating employees and customers on the importance of environmental sustainability.
Sustainability and Care for the Environment
At Grady, we are committed to reducing our impact on the environment through sustainable manufacturing practices. We hold third-party certifications to ISO 50001 and ISO 14001 and set annual targets to reduce our environmental footprint.
One way we demonstrate our commitment to sustainability is through our on-site wind turbine, which generates more than enough power to run our manufacturing plant and contributes excess green energy to the national grid. We also use timber off-cuts from the manufacturing process to provide energy to heat the plant, virtually eliminating the need for gas therefore reducing waste and conserving resources.
Since 2015, all the timber we source meets the requirements of either PEFC or FSC and is third-party certified to these standards. We ensure that the wood used in our products comes from responsibly managed forests, promoting renewable resources and reducing our impact on the environment.
Furthermore, we invest in energy-efficient technologies and processes, including the use of energy-efficient lighting, installation of solar panels, and adoption of more efficient manufacturing processes. We educate our employees and customers on best practices for reducing waste and conserving energy, encouraging sustainable choices for a better future.
In summary, our commitment to sustainability is evident in our third-party certifications, on-site wind turbine, responsible timber sourcing, and investments in energy-efficient technologies. We believe that through these efforts, we can reduce our impact on the environment and promote a more sustainable future for all.
