Testing & Accreditation
Grady Joinery fire doors undergo rigorous testing to ensure their safety and performance. Our fire doors hold multiple accreditations, including BM TRADA Q-Mark, Certifire, and CE marking, which demonstrate our commitment to quality, safety, and performance. Customers can trust that Grady fire doors are the right choice for protecting their buildings and occupants.
Testing Process
Grady Joinery fire doors undergo rigorous testing to ensure their safety and performance in the event of a fire. The testing process includes fire resistance testing, smoke control testing, and security testing, all performed at accredited third-party testing facilities. These independent organizations specialize in testing and certification of building products, ensuring unbiased and accurate results.
Warrington Fire, a UKAS-accredited global testing, inspection, and certification company, has used the testing evidence to create a specific Global Assessment/Field Application Report for Grady Doors. This report is tailored to suit fire door requirements within the highest risk social housing settings, such as high-rise blocks over 18 meters.
Similarly, Efectis, a notified body for both CE (and UKCA), has provided EXAP and Classification reports that allow us to install fire door sets from the Golden Thread Range not only in concrete structures but also within complex screens or abutting a structure of undetermined fire performance. We have tested and included in our CE/UKCA scope a range of Packers and Subsills up to 50 mm wide to address common problems encountered in older buildings.
Our entire range has primary burn test data available, and our fire doors have been subjected to smoke testing and a variety of other tests to ensure compliance with the requirements of Secure by Design.
In summary, the extensive testing that Grady Joinery fire doors have undergone ensures their safety and performance in the event of a fire. The rigorous testing process verifies the doors’ quality and provides assurance of their safety and reliability, giving customers peace of mind that Grady fire doors are the right choice for protecting their buildings and occupants.
