Greyhound Mansions – London

Greyhound Mansions is a Grade II listed residential building located on Greyhound Road in London. The building was originally constructed in the early 20th century and features a distinctive Art Deco style, characterized by its geometric shapes, bold colors, and intricate detailing.

In recent years, the building underwent a major refurbishment, which involved upgrading the fire safety measures to ensure compliance with current building regulations. Grady Joinery was brought in to provide fire doorsets for the project, which involved supplying and installing over 300 fire doorsets across the development.

The fire doorsets supplied by Grady Joinery were from the Golden Thread range and were chosen for their high-quality construction, fire resistance, and aesthetic appeal. The doorsets were customized to fit the unique requirements of the building, with a range of finishes and configurations used to complement the Art Deco style.

Grady Joinery’s installation team worked closely with the project team to ensure that the fire doorsets were installed correctly and on schedule. The team carried out a detailed site survey and preparation process, ensuring that the doorsets were specified correctly and that the frames were properly aligned and secured.

The installation process involved fitting the frames and hinges, attaching the door leaf to the frame, and fitting the lock and handle. Fire-stopping materials were installed around the frame and in any gaps or openings to ensure that the doorsets provided adequate fire protection. The doorsets were finished with any required hardware, such as signage or vision panels.

Thanks to the high-quality fire doorsets supplied by Grady Joinery, Greyhound Mansions now provides effective fire protection for its residents while maintaining its unique Art Deco style.
